BLACKJEANS: Where Chaos Becomes Celebration

New York City artist BlackJeans invites listeners into a world where colour, chaos and celebration collide with his explosive EP, END OF THE WORLD (Part 1) — the first chapter in an ambitious four-part series built around one irresistible idea: if the world is ending, why not throw a party?

But beneath the glitter and spectacle lies something deeper. For BlackJeans, clownery is more than a costume; it is a philosophy. Drawing inspiration from the historic role of jesters, he uses humour, performance and absurdity to challenge expectations and celebrate the beauty of being different.

His music has become a home for outsiders, misfits and late bloomers — anyone who has ever felt they didn't quite fit the mould. In the world of BlackJeans, imperfection isn't something to hide; it's something to embrace.

That message is already resonating. Named one of Rolling Stone UK's Artists to Watch, BlackJeans has surpassed one million streams across digital platforms while building a growing online following and an instantly recognisable visual identity.

His creativity extends far beyond the music. His recurring ‘End of the World’ events in New York City transform the traditional concert into an immersive experience, bringing together BlackJeans and his band The Sick Fucks with guest artists, nightlife, performance art and theatrical spectacle.

Part concert, part art experience and part celebration of individuality, END OF THE WORLD (Part 1) is an invitation to embrace the unexpected — and keep dancing when everything else feels uncertain.

Listen to END OF THE WORLD (Part 1) on all streaming platforms.

Brooklyn-based indie singer-songwriter Alaina May returns with her heartfelt new single “The Dog,” offering another glimpse into her upcoming work created alongside acclaimed indie duo TOLEDO.

Built around warm acoustic textures, delicate harmonies and deeply personal storytelling, the song explores what May calls “loving like a dog” — a love that is unconditional and loyal, but can sometimes mean putting someone else’s needs before your own.

Inspired by her experiences of first love and raising her puppy Aspen, “The Dog” reflects on the delicate balance between loving deeply and learning not to lose yourself in the process.

May’s songwriting is rooted in that same honesty. Born outside Milwaukee and later moving to Boston for college, she began to step away from the expectations she had grown up with and embrace her identity, experiences and voice as an artist.

Now based in New York, May is entering an exciting new chapter through her creative partnership with TOLEDO, developing music that feels intimate, vulnerable and emotionally expansive.

With “The Dog,” Alaina May turns a deeply personal experience into something universally relatable — a reminder that loving someone else should never mean forgetting to love yourself.
